About the Apartment

A major renovation was done in 2016. The project was carried out by renowned architect Israel Nunes who worked with Zaha Hadid and is known for mixing noble and modern materials. Original valuable material was kept and mixed with more modern materials and finishes. The windows are made of durable mahogany; some columns, as well as the kitchen and guest bathroom floors, are finished in pink Italian Carrara  marble mixed with black granit. The Portuguese parquet, of yellow Ipê, shares space with cement slabs. The furniture and benches are bespoke and made by reclaimed pink Ipê taken from an old farm in Bahia. The entrance chandelier is crystal; those in the kitchen, Tom Dixon.
